Letter to the family

My name is Isabella, and I am a Canadian from Oakville, Ontario. I come from a close-knit family, where I’ve had the privilege of being the eldest grandchild. Growing up, I was often responsible for caring for my younger sister and cousins, helping to guide them, and setting a good example. This early experience has nurtured my love for working with children and taught me the value of patience, responsibility, and fun.

I’m an active and adventurous person who loves spending time outdoors. Some of my fondest memories involve family trips to our cottage up north, where I would spend hours swimming, kayaking, and hiking. This love for nature has carried into my recent work as a seasonal employee at a provincial park, where I got to further explore my passion for the outdoors while learning more about environmental stewardship.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, which fostered my creativity and problem-solving skills. I am crafty and handy and enjoy taking on new projects and challenges, both professionally and personally. My curiosity and love for learning extend to my interest in experiencing new cultures, which is one of the key reasons I want to become an au pair. I look forward to embracing the traditions, language, and customs of your family, and I’m excited about the chance to bring a bit of my own culture to your home as well.

In addition to my professional experience, I enjoy playing board games and video games, which could be a fun way to connect with your children. I believe my sense of adventure, family values, and strong work ethic make me a great fit for your family. I look forward to the opportunity to share in your daily life, support your household, and create lasting memories with you and your children.

Thank you for considering me as your future au pair. I’m excited about the possibility of joining your family and learning more about your culture while providing a safe, fun, and caring environment for your children.

Experience

Becoming an au pair abroad is a chance for me to immerse myself in a different culture, gaining a deeper understanding of the world beyond my own country’s borders. I’m fascinated by the idea of connecting with a new family, learning your traditions, language, and daily routines, and sharing my own Canadian culture in return. I hope that my experiences can contribute to your household and enrich my perspective, fostering mutual understanding and friendships that will last a lifetime.
