While I don’t have direct experience as an au pair yet, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. In fact, I had found a host family before the COVID pandemic, but unfortunately, due to travel restrictions, I never got the chance to go. Now, a few years later, I feel like it’s the perfect time for a bit of redemption — to finally live out that dream and make the most of this unique experience.

After studying at university and working for five years, I’d love the opportunity to live in another country and be part of everyday life in a new culture. Before I fully settle into an office-based career, I want to do something more personal and immersive — and I can’t think of anything more meaningful than joining a family and helping care for their children.

I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids, and I have valuable experience in both childcare and household tasks. I’ve worked as a substitute teacher with children aged 6–16, which taught me a lot about communication, responsibility, and creating a fun but structured environment. I’ve also worked in housekeeping at a hotel and as a kitchen assistant in a restaurant, so I’m very comfortable with cooking and keeping things clean and organized.

I’d love to become a part of a family’s daily life — helping with routines, supporting the children, and sharing in everyday moments. I see being an au pair not just as a job, but as a meaningful cultural exchange and a chance to contribute to a family’s well-being.
