Letter to the family

Hi!

I'm Paige and I'm 25 years old. I'm currently working for the government as a full time justice officer. In recent years I have completed a bachelor's degree and I'm looking to drop back to casual work to commence my Master's degree in Biomedical and Health Sciences. I've decided to branch out and see if any families are needing help a few days a week around the house and with their children especially after COVID isolation is over. I would ideally like to assist families within and around the Melbourne metro area.

I have had a lot of experience working with children in foster and respite homes. I have been a carer for kids with disabilities - both intellectual and high physical needs. My duties included day to day care, dropping children off at day centres and day programs, attending medical appointments and general house work and cooking. I also worked round the clock, so day or night I am able to help.

Please if you are at all interested feel free to send me a message, I look forward to hearing from you!

Experience

For the last year and a half I have worked for a government organization in Australia that helps to increase the independence of people with varying disabilities. Whilst working in this organization I took care of children in respite facilities for a number of hours per week. Some of these children required high care and some were more independent, requiring less care.
During my time working I dealt with very difficult behaviors, but I also loved being able to build a friendship with these children to gain their trust. I would love to become an Au Pair to be able to see the difference between children in the world and to learn about their culture, as well as to be able to build new friendships. I love being able to learn new things and meeting new people.
