Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Lizzie and I’m 24 years old from Florida, USA. I have been in the aviation industry as a flight attendant for over 2 years now. Although I enjoy my job I am ready for a change. I spent almost all of 2023 living in Costa Rica and it really opened up my eyes. I love living outside of the USA and would love to do so again. I love hiking, yoga, reading, surfing, and simply having a nice dinner with friends. But, my favorite thing to do is to travel. I love learning about new cultures and visiting new places that I have never been. While traveling I realized how important and lucky I am to have English be my first language. This inspired me to get my TEFL certification, so I have knowledge on helping people learn English as a foreign language if that is what you’re looking for as well. Also, when I was 17 years old my parents fostered my now adopted brother and sister. They were 1 week old and 1 1/2 years old when we started fostering them. This is where my love for children began to grow. I had never spent much time around young children, but after they became a part of our family my heart just felt so happy being with them. I love the creativity and imagination that young children have. They are now 8 and 9, and I had a huge impact on raising them. I’ve spent days babysitting and watching over my siblings. I started watching them when my sister was just a week old so I have experience in all ages. I am a very positive, genuine, loving, and energetic person who would be a great fit to assist your family. I am eager to learn and I always want to improve and be better. I communicate very well and think it is very important. Also, being a Flight Attendant I received a lot of medical training as well. I had to react quickly and efficiently in many occasions with different situations that happened on the plane. I feel this would help me as an Au Pair as I have medical background with young children and adults. I am also a very clean person and am happy to help wherever I am needed.

Experience

I do not currently have any experience as an Au Pair, but I have lots of experience living abroad and with children. Although this would be my first Au Pair experience I have done lots of research and I think it would be the perfect fit for me. When I moved abroad I just felt so much awe and I was so grateful for that opportunity and would love to have it again. Also, I would love to become an Au Pair simply because I love children! I teach English to young students online as well and I just absolutely love being around kids. I love the silly side that they bring out in me and just how enthusiastic about life they are. I’ve wanted to work with young children for a long time and I am fully committed and ready to do so.
