I am Katia, a 19 year old from Ottawa, Canada. I speak fluent french and english and have been learning spanish for 3 years. I did an exchange program from febuary to april 2023, where I lived with a host family in Spain for 3 months and attended highschool there. I learned the language, the culture, and further expended my love for learning new cultures and meeting people from other cultures and backgrounds. I’ve also been an aupair in China for 8 months (2024-2025) where I took care of a 3 year old girl. Everyday I helped het her ready for the day, did daily chores around the house, fed her and helped with her nighttime routine. While taking care of her from morning to night daily I also taught her english skills, and within 8 months she could converse in english more and more!

I have been babysitting many kids since the age of 13, to current. I have taken care of newborns and up to 10 years old. I enjoy playing with kids, teaching them skills and helping them with their homeowrk, cleaning their house, making them meals, and much more.

Not only do I get along with kids but I love immersing myself in new cultures and teaching others about different cultures in the world, so being an international Au Pair candidate for the second time would be the best opportunity for me that matches my lifestyle and goals.
