Letter to the family

My name is Elisabeth and I'm from Hong Kong. I am half french/half Chinese and was born and raised in HK. I speak fluent English and French, my Cantonese is almost fluent, and my Mandarin is conversational. I graduated from UBC Vancouver last year and am currently in Paris and on a gap year before I start my master's at LSE in London in September. I believe being an Au Pair would be a new experience that will allow me to gain some valuable insights.

Experience

I have had some experience with children as in Hong Kong, I was a private French tutor for a year and taught children aged from 2.5 years old to 9 years old. For the younger children, I would engage in play-based activities and for the older children I helped them with their homework and would create fun activities.

I've also volunteered a year at Riding for the Disabled HK where I was in assisted in horseriding classes for children with various disabilities.

These experiences taught me to be organized, patient, and caring which I believe are very important qualities to have when working with children.
