Hello! Im Giulia and I am 23 yo. I live in Italy, near Parma. I have graduated with a Bachelor degree in July, in International Relations and

Political Science at Parma University.

I graduated with a thesis about Immigrants in the Mediterranean sea and the political opinion about the strict policies of some european countries.

I started a new path in Law, to complete my knowledge from the legal side.

I am looking for some experiences abroad to improve my English and other languages and my knowledge
about living in a different reality from where I live, and to grow myself in a different contest.

Also since September 2023 I participated to some Erasmus+ Projects which I enjoyed so much, one was in Romania, 10 days in Busteni about democracy and the right to vote, and the second in Armenia, 10 days in Yerevan about climate change. The last has been in Portugal, the main issue was how to make yougers more interested in the election that have been in June. I learned a lot about new cultures, and about the mobility between the European Countries.

At the moment, from April 2023, I’m working as a cashier in a supermarket but I also do different thigs such as refill the counters, help the costumers, and do the daily accountability reports. I slip my shift in two different shops but my work is the same, I check also if something is to be ordered from the suppliers, or if there’s something expiring.

I worked in a project called Servizio Civile Universale, in 2021, at the Public Assistance located in the village where I live; my tasks were to attend the work shift for the emergency service. Trough this experience I learnt how to implement BLSD procedures and how important is to know how to be patient, how to work with other to achieve a common goal, in this case the management of an emergency situation and the well-being of the person you were giving the first aid.

Last year, until may 2023, I’ve attended an English course at the Language Studies Center of Parma and I hope to get my English Certification soon.

I am interested in this type of experience because I have a good interaction with kids. The most relevant is that I want to make an experience abroad, learn a new culture and language for my future. Im also kind of resposible, cause I live some years alone with my brother already, so Im able to do some housework and to take care of a child, and I am open to learn.
