Hello!
My name is Abbi! I am a 22 year old graduate from a private college in Pella, Iowa, USA. I would describe myself as bubbly, energetic, and spontaneous. I absolutely love education and the shaping of young minds and in my future I would love to be an international music teacher. The reason I would love to be a nanny or an au pair is because it lets me continue to do what I love and working with children every day, it continues my dreams of seeing and exploring the world, and the best part is that I get to learn new cultures, languages and the local ways of whichever country I am blessed with. If the candidate were willing to host me I would say that I love to have conversations and get to know my host family, and would be very well kept. I have lived in a host family situation before when I studied abroad in Costa Rica in Fall of 2022 and I think it went great! I would absolutely love to become personal and loving with my host family and I hope it is always somewhere I can come back to!

Experience

I think I qualify for this position because I have worked with children for over half of my 22 years of living and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I value time with kids and I think it is a wonderful way to move abroad. I have also worked in Early Childhood as well as K-12 Education for the past 5 years and can thrive in that environment as well. Lastly, I have six siblings back home from the ages 12-26, three of which went through foster care and had behavioral issues, and myself as well. I would say I am pliable in any work environment and would start every day with a smile!
I would like to nanny or au pair abroad because I have worked with children ages 0-7 abroad when I lived in Costa Rica and it was eye opening to speak with children in other languages, to learn about their perspectives, and see the development differ from the U.S. I would be so thrilled to be in any position outside of the U.S.
