Letter to the family

My name is Lucy, I am 25 years old and I currently work as a Criminal administrator for the Scottish Prison Service. I love my job but I have always had a passion for working with children.
I used to be a Nanny for family friends years ago and I really enjoyed it until the children were old enough that they didn't need a nanny anymore.
Since then I have been volunteering with my city's local scout group, I specifically volunteer with the age groups 4-9 years old.
I feel that you should host me because I am very reliable, passionate and caring. I love to see children grow and develop, to see them accomplish new things.
I feel I qualify for the position because I have looked after children in the past and I still currently supervise children on a regular basis throughout the week. Also because I am a caring person and would do my very best to make sure that the children are well cared for and that the parents are at ease.

Experience

I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. When I was a nanny many years ago I had a great relationship with the children (3 and 8 years old). I would love to have that same relationship again. I also was really good friends with the parents, to this day I am still in contact with them and we meet up every so often to catch up.
I feel like if I became an Au Pair abroad I would be able to help with teaching the children english and also teach them about Scottish culture (if they want to of course). I see this as a good opportunity to build good relationships and see a bit of the world.
