Letter to the family

Hello future host family!

My name is Saige and I am an experienced au pair and nanny from Arizona, USA. My last international position was in Switzerland in 2022, and though I love my current position here at home as a job coach for adults on the autism spectrum, I am eager to get back to traveling and working with kids! I think being an au pair is one of the most fulfilling ways to experience the world, because I get the benefit of an authentic family experience along with the opportunity to explore places I wouldn’t otherwise get to see.

At 26, I am an older and more experienced au pair, which I think is perfect for any family looking for a reliable and confident but still energetic and playful big sister type to add to their household. My strengths are creative and explorative hands-on play, homework help and tutoring, organizing outings to fun places, and assisting with household management (scheduling, organizing, food prep, errands, etc.).

If you are a busy family looking to keep your kids entertained for the summer, or just need a helping hand around the house, I would be a great fit for you! I am social and fun loving, so will be eager to explore my new home and make friends, but I am also a hard worker and dedicated to the children I care for, so your family will always be my priority.

Experience

I have always been passionate about childcare. I started babysitting at 11 years old, and since then have been a nanny, preschool teacher, private tutor, summer camp counselor, art and dance teacher, and, of course, an au pair in Switzerland for two elementary age children. Over my years in the childcare field, I have gained many certifications, refreshed my First Aid/CPR/Seizure training multiple times, worked with children and adults with special needs, handled overnight and long-term care, potty trained, prepped toddlers for school, and more. I’ve worked with families of many different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, and I adore meeting new people and experiencing other people’s lives, which is why I am so excited to find another international family to work with.
