Letter to the family

Hi Host Family! How are you guys ? I hope you are doing well!
I worked as an Au pair in the US for the last 2 years. The whole experience it was amazing. It's not my first exchange program, I went to South Africa in 2018, where I had my first experience living abroad and with a host family.
I want to live this experience again because I always had this love for kids even when I was one. I like the idea of being able to be part of their lives, teaching, giving love and support for whatever they need. The interaction and contact I had with them has been amazing, and will always be in my heart.

Experience

I started volunteering with kids when I was 12. The first experience was at my school where I helped with games for the young kids during the break. My second experience was in an orphanage where I helped with games, stories, talked and played with them. In college, I taught cooking classes for kids and, of course, played with them in my spare time.
When I decided to become an Au pair, for me it was important to have more experience with babies since it's an age that I really enjoy working with. I did volunteer work at a daycare, tutoring a special needs boy and helping the teacher with kids from 4 months to 2 years old. During the years I had experience babysitting my cousins who are now 13 and 15 years old. And I also have 3 different experiences during my Au pair program where I took care of kids from 2 months to 11 years old. In my first host family there were 4 kids, then 2 kids and now in my current host family I had just one baby.
My motivation to continue to work as au pair is definitely the exchange of love and affection that we have with each other. Every hug, kiss, caress, words, when the baby learned my name and a few words in Portuguese, will be very well kept in my heart. It was very beautiful to see them grow and how much they evolve every day. Each experience here is unique and full of self knowledge and learning. Not to mention the possibility of getting to know and live this culturally rich experience in its entirety.
I've always had this passion for children and after going through all these experiences it just made me more sure that I want to be in touch with them. I want to live this experience again because I love kids and I believe that the contact and interaction with them is a very rich and brings a lot of personal enrichment.
I feel like I'm ready for this new chapter of my life.
