My name is Shariya, and I am excited to express my genuine interest in becoming an au pair with your family. I am a responsible, nurturing, and motivated young woman who loves caring for children, learning new things, and helping others in any way I can.

I am currently enlisted in the Navy and a Psychology major at Alabama State University, and throughout my life, I’ve naturally stepped into the role of a caregiver. I grew up helping raise my little sisters and cousins, which taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and creating a safe, fun environment for children. From the ages of 14 to 16, I also worked at a daycare center, where I gained hands-on experience in supervising, teaching, and caring for kids of all ages.

Beyond childcare, I bring a well-rounded and active background. I used to run track, cheer, and play softball, so I know how to keep up with high energy and love staying engaged. I can cook and clean, and I have no problem helping with household tasks to keep things running smoothly. I am also open and excited about learning a new language if needed—I see that as another beautiful part of being immersed in a different culture.

What draws me to the au pair experience is the opportunity to grow with a family, learn from a new environment, and be a positive influence in children’s lives.
