Dear Host Family

My name is Elienai, and I am 24 years old. I live in Ponta Grossa, a big city in the state of Paraná in Brazil. I love living here because it is a place with very receptive people, with great parks and lots of cultural events, I always enjoy going out with my friends for shopping, cinemas, theaters, parks and concerts.

Currently, I live alone and take care of my two nephews 5 and 10 years old every weekend because they stay at my house. My family consists of my mother Fatima, she is 61 years old, she is the center of our family as a great mother, she does handicrafts and artistic paintings and is very caring and friendly. My father is 58 years old, he is the caretaker of our whole family and works every day to better help us, even with all the children already grown up. My older brother Ivair is 36, he is a very loving brother and currently works as a fireman and is married and has two children, these are my nephews and nieces that I take care of every weekend. My middle sister is 28 years old and a veterinarian, she is very dedicated to her family and us siblings. My parents are very friendly and understanding, but they are strict when it comes to manners and education, so I grew up very responsible and polite.

My family is very supportive of my desire to be an Au Pair because they know it will be very important for my life, and they know it's great to have an experience in another country. So I can grow more as an independent person, improve in other languages and learn about their wonderful culture!

I usually spend my free time listening to music, watching TV, movies and TV series, and on weekends playing with my nephews and nieces and taking them for walks and outdoor activities. I also always take time to go out with my friends, go to the cinema, watch the movies I love like comedies, drama, adventure. I love staying at home with my mum to chat and cook together. I would describe myself as an open-minded, patient and outgoing person, my family and friends say I am very funny. I also enjoy cooking and love travelling, no matter the place, I always enjoy the journey!

I decided to be an au pair because I hope this experience can help me improve my English skills and living in another country would be a great experience for my future career. I would also like to travel abroad and learn more about other families' lifestyles and culture and share experiences with you. I want to do my best work and I would take care of your children as if they were my own children. I want to give them all my care and knowledge, and I would do it in a loving and caring way.
