Hello all! I am a student taking some time off to pursue my dream of long-term travel with hopes to further my experience with kiddos and be immersed in a new culture! I have worked as a behavioral specialist for children with autism for the past nine months and waitressed during my gap from school. I hope to be an au pair as I sincerely enjoy working with children and find childcare to be very gratifying in both my work and personal life. Additionally, I believe this is a great time for me to explore a new foreign environment, make new connections across the world, and potentially expand on some language speaking skills. I believe I would make a great temporary addition to my host family as I am honest, nurturing, flexible, and devoted to being present and deliberate with how I interact and care for your kiddos. I qualify to be an au pair as I have extensive experience babysitting throughout my pre-teen to teenage years. I have worked as a licensed clinician trained in applied behavior analysis therapy to work with children impacted with autism and other developmental disorders that tend to have challenging behaviors. Therefore I have experience with children of many ages with tendencies for tantrums and have helped children over time learn vital life and social skills to better independently manage their lives. I have studied early childhood development and taken multiple psychology courses and understand the importance of being intentional and delicate with children as their younger years may greatly impact the people they grow to become. Overall, given the opportunity, I would love to connect and make a positive difference in the little ways I can!
