I am Paula, a recent graduate from Brazil, who discovered the profound joys of working with children and adolescents during my undergraduate studies. I am eager to take the next step on this path. I studied both Portuguese and English from a teaching and scholarly perspective, which has enabled me to master the English language.

During the final phase of my studies, I had the privilege of completing several internships—experiences that allowed me to realize that I have a natural gift for working with children and adolescents.

Many people believe that children are like blank slates, upon which parents, teachers, and caregivers write their influence. However, I do not share this view. I firmly believe that there is so much we can learn from them, and it is this belief that makes me an attentive and empathetic listener.

While I acknowledge that, due to life experience, adults have much to offer in terms of guidance, I also believe that our primary role is to serve as calm, steady, and guiding figures, leading them on their journey to becoming well-rounded citizens. For me, this is the true essence of education.

It is for this reason that I have decided to apply for the opportunity to become an Au Pair. I seek to enrich my experiences with children, embracing the opportunity to create a calm, respectful, and joyful environment for them. I am confident that these qualities make me the ideal Au Pair for any host family.
