My name is Lucia, and I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming an Au Pair or Home Share companion for the elderly in your home. I am excited about the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, contribute to a positive and supportive environment for you or your family, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals.
I am 26 years old and come from Italy. I have always had a passion for working with people and believe that helping others, is both rewarding and fulfilling. I am patient, empathetic, and a good listener—qualities that I believe are essential when working in a caregiving role. I have experience with both children, having babysat my cousin, and with the elderly, in fact for many years I looked after my maternal grandparents, in particular I looked after my grandmother who was ill with Alzheimer's. I also participated in the European Solidarity Corps in Portugal where I helped in an organization that prepared and distributed food to people in difficulty. These experiences have strengthened my desire to be part of a caring environment where I can support and assist those who need it most.
