Letter to the family

Hi! I am Zaira, I am 30 years old and a doctor. Ever since I was little, I have had the desire to travel the world, in particular to visit and learn more about American culture. I started my medical studies in Rome and here I had some experience as a baby sitter to help me cope with the expenses of university and life away from home. Almost at the end of my course I decided I wanted to leave my country, I worked for two years to have some savings and be able to leave. A month ago I went to California and I fell in love with the coast, since then I decided I wanted to experience life there, and why not maybe move there one day. I started an English course in order to improve the language and today I have decided that in order to really immerse myself in the local culture the best way is to live with local people. I turned to this agency in order to gain experience abroad, and with my experience and studies to be able to be useful to those in need.

Experience

To pay for my studies, on weekends I was a nanny for the children of a couple who had a shop and spent little time at home. I would pick up the children from school, prepare a snack, help them with their homework, prepare dinner, and after their bath I would put them to bed and wait for their parents to return. Regarding the elderly, I have a short experience with my grandparents, whom I looked after during the months they were ill.
I would like to have this experience abroad because I believe that helping others would make me grow as a person and doing it abroad would also enrich me culturally.
