Nonhlanhla (27 / Ms. ), Zimbabwean, Student living in South Africa looking for Au Pair job in Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Norway & Poland for 3-14 Months

Hello Family,
I hope I find you well! My name is Nonhlanhla "Nono" a 26 year old aspiring Aupair from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I just recently finished my course in Nurse Aide & Homebased Care and I am currently at the end of my attachment at a local clinic.

I come from a family of 6 and I have 4 younger siblings. My first language is Ndebele and English . I also speak and understand a little bit of German and i have been studying it for 3 years now. I am well aware that learning a language within a classroom context is by itself, incomplete. So, in order to improve speaking and listening skills , I feel that a cultural immersion would do me a lot of good.

Hence my desire to have first hand experience through the Aupair program since it offers an opportunity to a cultural context that is undoubtedly different from mine. For this reason, I would very much like to find a nice family to live with and work for abroad.

When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal settings. In my last formal child care experience I cared for 3 children as their live in Nanny. They were a pair of 3 year old twins and their 9 year old sister. I looked after the twins from infancy and I really enjoyed it and it sparked my desire to do my Caregiving course. Unfortunately, I had to stop watching them when I moved away to go to school. I have also had the opportunity to babysit my little cousins and younger siblings especially on holidays.


As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family, that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 6 months. I would also prefer looking after children aged between 0 to 15years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend language classes.

I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you: to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences; to learn more about your family; your interests and to know more about what you expect from the au pair arrangement.
