Letter to the family

Hello family :)
I am Beatriz, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Spain. I have finished my last year of university (English Studies) and I was studying for a year in the UK (Sussex University in Brighton). I am an active and responsible person who likes to enjoy life, to discover places, languages, cultures and people. I would like to spend some time abroad helping a family while discovering the place, culture and the family itself. I like children and spending time with them, and I like making people happy, I'm a really caring, empathetic and sensitive person. I would love to help families with the house or with children, and I would love to become friends with them and do things together. I could teach you spanish/english/italian or dancing (I was a flamenco dancer), or new recipes, as I love cooking (I am vegan), and I also play a bit of guitar and ukulele. I'm also part of the drama club in my hometown where we do representations throughout the year as well as different spectacles. I love acting!
I love doing new things, so I think this would be a great opportunity for me to discover a new country and new customs, while making friends with a family and helping them.
I am able to travel starting from September. Thank you so much and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Experience

I have been an AuPair (2021-2022) with a big family in Germany. There, I took care of three girls (aged 7, 9 and 12) and helped with the house too.
Based on my experience that year, relevant things I learned:
· To treat children like normal people. They have responsibilities, they need their alone time too. It is also important to take them seriously, their problems are real problems too and they deserve to be heard.
· To be patient and try not to take things personally. Children can be hurtful sometimes but if you treat them with kidness and show them how to solve conflicts, that will help them more than any punishment (althought that's also necessary sometimes so they know the consequences of their acts).
· As an AuPair, I like being with children and the family but I also need my time alone. Therefore, I value that the children respect that and not come to my room when it's free time. Moreover, I am more than open to change schedules if needed throughout the time I'm with the family, but always taking into account the hours of work per day and per week. I want it to be as fair as possible for the family and for myself, so I expect the extra hours to be either paid or counted to take as free hours elsewhere in the days.
I have been a private tutor-teacher for children, helping them with their homework and teaching them Spanish, English and French. (+3 years doing that)
· Something I've noticed is that they pick up on the parents' behaviour a lot. I'm not a violent person. I hate violence, whether it is physicall or verbal, so I will never hurt a child or say mean things. I expect the parents to do the same if possible, but I will never judge your way of educating your children. I will only advise when my opinion is requested, but if not, I will behave with them as you want me to, and I will always ask the parents for advice.
