Hi there!

I'm Nicole—originally from sunny South Africa, now living in Europe as an Austrian citizen (which means I’m free to work and travel in the EU). I’m hoping to move to the Netherlands soon, not just to enjoy the bikes and stroopwafels (though I’m very excited about those), but to start building my dream of teaching English and learning Dutch along the way!

I’m caring and love spending time with children. I bring a calm, kind energy to any home. I speak English, Afrikaans, and some German, and would be thrilled to help your kids with their English if that’s something you’d like.

I’d love to be part of your family’s everyday life, share laughs, help out, and grow alongside you all. Looking forward to hearing more about you!

Experience

I have a lot of hands-on experience working with kids, both through my studies in Foundation Phase teaching and my practical experience as a Primary School teacher from 2019 to 2023. Along with teaching, I also coached field hockey and swimming, which gave me the chance to help children develop both their athletic skills and teamwork abilities. My passion for working with kids led me to my current role as an au pair in Austria, where I’ve been for the past year. Caring for children of different ages and backgrounds has been a rewarding experience, and I love helping them with their language skills and learning activities. I’m always looking for ways to make learning fun, whether it’s through sports, games, or creative activities. This role has really allowed me to combine my love for teaching, coaching, and childcare, and I’m excited to keep growing in this field!
