My name is Alberto, I am 32 years old, and I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming an au pair for your family. I come from Cuba, but I have lived abroad for some years. I have travelled extensively in Europe and I live the last five years of my life in Switzerland working as a professional translator and interpreter. I am currently based in Mexico. I am excited about the opportunity to experience a new culture, language, and way of life, while also contributing to your household in a meaningful way.
I have always had a deep love for working with children. I have four brothers and sisters. Whether helping to care for younger siblings, volunteering in local childcare programs, or babysitting for family friends, I’ve learned how to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children to thrive. I enjoy engaging in creative activities such as storytelling, outdoor games, and helping with homework. It’s important to me that children feel heard, supported, and encouraged as they grow and learn.
One of the main reasons I want to become an au pair is to immerse myself in a different culture and language while forming a close bond with a family abroad. I love to learn foreign languages because it is a unique way to connect with different cultures. I believe that being an au pair is not just about childcare—it's about cultural exchange, learning from one another, and building lifelong memories together. I am open-minded, adaptable, and eager to contribute to your family life in any way I can, including light household tasks and preparing simple meals.
