Letter to the family
Dear family,
My name is Andrea, and I come from Italy, more specifically from the city of Ravenna, located in the Emilia-Romagna region. Actually, these days I'm a bit of a wanderer: first, right after graduating from high school, I lived for three years in the chaotic and glittering Milan, and then I moved even further, to my new destination of Turin, with its posh and elegant atmosphere. Precisely for this reason, I never felt like a citizen of one city, but of all of Italy, thanks also to all the people I met along the way, with origins from all corners of the country. Next stop: the whole world!
I attended a classical high school, where I studied Latin, Ancient Greek, philosophy, and art, subjects that shaped me into a very thoughtful person with an analytical perspective on the world. I then pursued a degree in Art Economics, an interdisciplinary program that allowed me to highlight national and international cultural heritage, which I consider a priceless asset. I love culture in all its forms. Discovering new traditions, habits, and customs is a constant source of learning and inspiration for me.
When I was younger, I gained valuable experience working as a children's entertainer, where I developed strong communication and organizational skills. Later, I worked as a waiter, an experience that taught me adaptability, multitasking, and the importance of providing excellent service. In recent years, I've focused on the art world, combining my passion for culture with my professional life. I've worked as a cultural mediator in museums in Milan, where I facilitated meaningful connections between visitors and art, making exhibitions accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. These experiences have deepened my understanding of cultural heritage and strengthened my ability to interact with people from all walks of life. I'm currently an au pair, but my experience is about to end. However, I would like to continue in this role for a few more months before resuming my studies. The family I care for consists of four people. The two children are quite older, but, as I mentioned, I've also worked with younger children over the past few summers, immediately after graduating from high school. This time, I'd like to live closer to Madrid, where I began Spanish courses to obtain a certification and where I also made some friends. I'm passionate about art and enjoy spending my free time visiting exhibitions and museums, immersing myself in culture and creativity. I love trying traditional cuisines from different regions and learning new languages, as they open doors to understanding diverse cultures.
I go to the gym several times a week to stay active and healthy. Although I enjoy sports like volleyball and tennis, I'm always open to learning and trying new activities, even those I'm less familiar with.
Recently, I've been working on improving my film knowledge by exploring classic movies. When it comes to TV series, however, I'm unbeatable: I'm always up on the latest trends and hidden gems!
As for what's next, I'm definitely going to start studying again in September. I'm considering doing so here, or in Italy—I haven't made a decision yet. But the charm of Spain seems to want to keep me here...
