Letter to the family

Hello, my name is Megan and I am 18. I am currently taking my A levels and have decided to take a gap year before going to university to study Early Years and Childhood Studies. I currently work for a childminder after school who looks after around 20-30 children a day. I walk home groups of 6-8 children and then stay to look after and play with the children. Through this work, I have gained confidence and developed my creativity and initiative as well as my empathy and communication skills. In my spare time, I am a young leader at Rainbows, supporting girls aged 5-7 where I work as part of a team of adults to plan and deliver a wide variety of activities and support the girls to participate.I also have an enhanced DBS security check and a paediatric first aid certificate. I would love the opportunity to work with children and support a family overseas.

Experience

Whilst this will be my first Au Pair position, I do have experience working with children in other settings through my work as a childminder assistant and with Girl Guiding.
I would love to become an Au Pair abroad to challenge myself and extend my skills. Living and working with a family will enable me to fully experience life in another country/culture.
