I began caring for my toddler cousins at a young age, regularly babysitting children from 8 months old and up. At 15, I moved to my mother’s family home to care for my grandfather and bedridden uncle. Initially, my responsibilities were solely for my grandfather, which included feeding, bathing, transporting him to medical appointments, and handling his dressings. After my grandfather passed away, my family recognized my dedication to elderly care and entrusted me with my uncle's care.

My uncle, who was a quadriplegic and bedridden, required around-the-clock assistance. Each morning before school, I would bathe him, feed him, change his dressings, and administer his medications. During school hours, another caregiver would help, but I took over as soon as I returned home. I also repositioned him every four hours to prevent bedsores.

I am deeply passionate about caring for individuals and ensuring they feel valued and supported, rather than burdensome. Although my experience is personal, I am committed to bringing this dedication to a professional setting. I am currently living in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, and I hope to find an opportunity to continue my work in healthcare.
