Letter to the family

Dear Family,
My name is Chloé and I am 18 years old. I have just finished high school. I have studied biology until now. But I realised I really wanted to study medecine. Hence, I quit biology in order to be fully prepared for medecine next September.

I want to become an Au Pair because I really love travelling and discovering new things. I am looking forward to meeting new people. Moreover, I love taking care of children and being in another family to discover their culture and way of living. My English is actually quite good but I would love to be fluent and I really think this experience would give it a great help.

I would really love to be like a member of the family. I Iove playing with children and inventing new games with them. I can easily improvise new activities so they are not bored. Furthermore, I am willing to help with chores, cooking meal, taking animals for walk and so and so forth.

To earn pocket money, I've been babysitting since I am 13. I also have two cousins who are 9 and 4 so I am used to taking care of them. My mom was once a nanny so my brother and I would teach the kids how to walk, talk, sing and so on and so forth. We are still in touch with the children my mom used to look after.

Experience

I think being an Au-Pair combines many advantages. You live with another family than your own : you can learn all about their habits, their way of living, their culture. Of course, it is the best way to improve your English :-) It is also the best way to discover the country. Even if I have never been in Ireland, I am already fond of it.
Moreover, it will be a unique experience and will help my CV.
