Letter to the family

My name is Luisa, I am a 21-year-old Sicilian girl currently living in Rome, where I moved three years ago to study Economics at La Sapienza University. Ever since I was young, I’ve been surrounded by children — I have two younger siblings and I’ve worked as a babysitter for several years. These experiences have given me a strong sense of responsibility, as well as a natural ease in caring for and engaging with children.

I have always been a very active person. I played volleyball for most of my life and also practiced CrossFit, which helped me develop discipline, energy, and teamwork skills. I love cooking and I’m quite good at it, and I enjoy almost every sport, which means I can bring a lot of fun and energy to your family.

I would love to become an Au Pair because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I’ve always had a strong instinct to help and support them — whether it's through play, learning, or simply being a reliable presence. I am very patient, caring, and attentive to their needs. Beyond that, I am deeply curious about other cultures and eager to learn new languages. Becoming an Au Pair would allow me to grow both personally and culturally, opening my mind to different ways of living and thinking.

I believe you should host me because I am a responsible and warm person with real experience in childcare. I have a driving license, excellent cooking skills, and a proactive attitude. I’m confident that I can bring not only support, but also a cheerful and positive spirit into your household.

Experience

Although I haven’t officially worked as an Au Pair yet, I have several years of experience as a babysitter and I have always been closely involved in childcare, especially thanks to my two younger siblings. These experiences have taught me how to take care of children with patience, attention, and a sense of responsibility, while also making sure they have fun and feel supported.

What attracts me most to the idea of becoming an Au Pair abroad is the opportunity to combine my love for children with my desire to explore new cultures. I am very curious and open-minded, and I would love to fully immerse myself in a different environment — learning a new language (especially English), understanding different lifestyles, and visiting new places whenever possible. I believe this kind of experience would help me grow as a person, while also allowing me to offer real help to a family by actively taking care of their children in a loving and responsible way.
