Letter to the family

Hi, my name is Letícia, but you can call me Ellie. At the moment, I'm a 22 year old.

I've always been good with children - even when I, myself, was still a child. I dreamed about having sibbilings, and when my sister was born, a dream came true.

I plan on starting the au pair programme in 2024.

I am generally described by my friends and family as a sweet and caring person. I love to read, I love music and I love art in its many forms. I enjoy being outdoors as much as I enjoy being in the comfort of home. I can cook! I am cooperative and understanding, and always try to do my best. I think it's very important to do things with love.

I can assure you that I am an easy going person and that you can rest easy and trust me to take care of your little ones with great affection!

Experience

I've always been good with children - even when I, myself, was still a child. I dreamed about having sibbilings, and when my sister was born, a dream came true. I've always helped my mom taking care of my sister. I also used to babysit my sister and her friends, so the parents could go out.

I love speaking English and it would be an amazing oportunity of practicing and increasing my conversation skills. In Brazil, I like to read books in English, and watch movies and TV shows in English without subtitles or with subtitles also in English, as a way to practice. I also try writing in English sometimes.

I think the idea of being an au pair is great because I would get to do two things I love - speak English and take care of children - while I fulfill the dream of living abroad. I wish to go after I graduate in college, and I really believe that my degree in Psychology can be helpfull. This year, I'll be assisting children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years old at the University clinic, through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

I hope to find a host family that values the same things that I do: empathy, affection, cooperation, kindness, trust and mostly respect. I hope to find a place where I feel welcome and safe, and I really hope I get to help your family and to be a good influence in the lives of your little ones. I can assure you that I am a polite, easy going person and that you can rest easy and trust me to take care of your little ones with great affection!
