Letter to the family

Dear Family,
For all of my childhood, I have dreamt of exploring the world and I had always hoped to help spread kindness along the way. In the past year, I decided to make my dream a reality. After graduating from highschool, as an 18 year old, I realized I had my entire life before me and the entire world at my finger tips. I couldn't wait one second longer, and before I knew it, I was traveling thousands of miles away from my home, to pursue my passion.
Landing in the United Kingdom, excitement quickly replaced my nervousness, and I found that this was exactly what was destined for me and my life path. For a month, I traveled through London, Switzerland, and Amsterdam. Meeting new people, and learning of their cultures, I began delving into deep conversations in regards to the world with presumable strangers. I was struck with this sense of being. For once in my life, I felt as though I had truly belonged somewhere. It wasn't this feeling of belonging to a specific place, but rather I felt as though I belonged in this frame of events. I was fulfilling my life's purpose. I met people from all over the world, and together we helped to educate eachother on the world that lies before us. After such a life changing adventure, I knew it was time for me to return back home to the states. Although excited to be reunited once again with family, I felt as though a piece of me was missing. I had only a small glimpse of what it was like to explore and learn from others and I strive to once again be immersed in a new culture and learn of a new way of life. I began to research how I could continue to challenge myself and fulfill my passion. I needed to find something that could incorporate my desires into something that could realistically benefit both others, as well as myself. And that is how I found out about the opportunity of becoming an AuPair.

Experience

Here in the states, I have nannied a little boy for the last three years, since he was two years old.
In the past three years, I have learned alot from him. He's taught me that not only is it okay to color outside of the lines, but he actually encourages it.
He's opened up a new creative side of me, as well as an exaggerated imagination.
I've become his personal story teller, and his favorite jokster.
He's taught me the importance of patience and the importance of having fun.
The idea of caring for children like him, in a new place that will be filled with new experiences and will project to me a new outlook on life, appears to be perfect for me, and I hope that you will consider me in helping out within your household!
He has helped me to shape my future, just by being him. He has so heavily impacted me and has led me to wanting a career in working with children. I have now worked through extensive training and have become certified and am working as a teacher aide with infants and toddlers. My job has impacted me in ways I never could imagine. We work in ratios 1 teacher to 4 children, so I am accustomed to always having my hands full, but having an even fuller heart!
