Dear Host Family,

My name is Maddalena, and I'm 19. I was born and raised in Rome, Italy, but thanks to my family, I grew up with a love for traveling and exploring new places and cultures.

In the past, I've worked with children as a summer camp counselor and, most importantly, as a TA in a kindergarten class, which made me realize that I want to become a grade school teacher in the future! However, before jumping into college, I want to take the opportunity to work as an au pair to combine my two biggest passions: traveling and working with kids! My past experiences taught me the importance of engaging children in fun and educational activities, as well as the values of patience, creativity, and honest communication.

In addition to my childcare background, I come from a quite large family, being the third of four children, which has shaped me into who I am today. I'm caring, joyful, loud, and sometimes chaotic, but in a warm, loving, way. I care about making everyone feel included and loved, and I've been told that my presence brings joy to people, which I really hope is true.
I've known for years that working with kids is in my future, and I really hope that you'll give me the opportunity to demostrate how hardworking, dedicated and passionate I am about things that I care about such as this.

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be an au pair, and I can't wait to be there!
