Caterina (20 / Ms. ), Italian, Student living in Netherlands looking for Au Pair job in Australia, Spain, USA, Dominican Republic & Portugal for 3-3 Months

Dear host family,
I’m Caterina, I’m from Italy (Rome) and I’m 20 years old. I have always loved traveling, discovering new places, embracing new cultures. In 2022 I won a 10,000€ scholarship that allowed me to go studying in the USA as an exchange student, from January until June 2023. That experience shaped my personality and is engraved in my heart, just like the people that I met and are part of my life now. I hope I will make memories with you just like I did in the United States. I also love kids, spending time with them and taking care of them. One of the most important aspects of my life is my family. My mom and my dad are pivotal to me and my older brother is more than words can explain. We all love spending time together, especially over dinner since it’s the moment of the day when everyone is back home and have stuff to tell each other. When I was still living in Rome, every day I used to go over my Grandma’s to have lunch with her. She’s my best friend, someone who I know I can always talk to. I used to bring her to get groceries and everything she needed since she doesn’t have a drivers license and my grandpa died 10 years ago.
Friends are a big part of my life as well. I’m not a “big group” kind of person, I rather have my few real friends, that I am closer with. I also enjoy hanging out with some others and I don’t mind being around a lot of people. Indeed, I’d say that I can easily adapt to different circumstances and situations but still bearing in mind with I like and what I don’t. I have always loved kids and I have always wanted a little brother/sister but turned out I was the little one at home :)
Indeed, almost every summer my best friend and I go to the house beach her sister rents with her 2 kids to help her out. They are now 6 and 8 years old but I’ve been spending time with them since they were toddlers.
