Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Lou, and I am a 22-year-old French business school student.

As part of my gap year, I am eager to become an au pair from September to December 2025 in an English-speaking country. My goal is to immerse myself in the language, improve my conversational English, and eventually take the TOEIC to validate my diploma. I am available from mid to late August if needed.

I have extensive experience in childcare, having regularly looked after children since I was 14. My responsibilities have included school pick-ups, full-day care during holidays, evening babysitting, and organizing activities such as swimming. I have cared for children from ages 1 to 14, which has helped me develop patience, kindness, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Beyond childcare, I also work as an event hostess, a role that has enhanced my interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to provide excellent service. I am enthusiastic, reliable, and always bring a positive attitude. I believe these qualities, combined with my childcare experience, make me a great fit for your family.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because it offers the perfect balance between two things I value deeply: caring for children and immersing myself in a new culture. Living with a host family would allow me to improve my conversational English in an authentic way while creating meaningful bonds with the children and the family. As part of my gap year, this experience would not only help me achieve my goal of taking the TOEIC to validate my diploma, but also allow me to grow personally by adapting to a new environment, embracing different customs, and sharing my own culture.
