My name is Maiya, and I am originally from San Francisco, California. I am have extensive experience in childcare and am happy to support however you all may need (childcare, tutoring, etc).

I recently completed a Masters degree in Social Anthropology, and I am currently an independent consultant.

I grew up in a big family and have been taking care of kids for as long as I can remember. Whether it was my younger sisters, family friends, or families in need of support, I always had a kid on my hip. Before attending University, I spent a great deal of time nannying for families and leading a local daycare program. I previously spent a year as an au pair in England for a family with three children. I have experience with infants, children, and adolescents. My educational background (psychology, anthropology) provides me with a unique understanding of developmental psychology, as well as strong communication skills.
