Letter to the family
1. Who am I? "I am a 57-year-old woman, originally from El Salvador, with a deep vocation for childcare and education. My degree in Early Childhood Education has given me a solid theoretical and practical foundation in children's development and learning in their early stages. I am also the mother of three adult, professional daughters, whom I have raised with dedication and care, which has given me valuable experience in raising and developing young people. I consider myself an organized, responsible, mature, patient, and energetic person. I enjoy an active lifestyle and am passionate about learning new things, especially in the field of technology. In my free time, I like to stay active by riding my bike, enjoying the sea and nature with my dogs, and cultivating my mind through reading. I have an intermediate level of English and a driver's license."
2. Why do I want to be an Au Pair? My motivation to become an Au Pair comes from a combination of my passion for working with children and my desire to experience a rewarding cultural exchange. Having dedicated my life to early childhood education and raising my own daughters, I feel I have a wealth of love and experience to share with a new generation. I see the opportunity to be an Au Pair not just as a job, but as a life experience that will allow me to continue learning and growing personally and culturally. I am excited by the idea of integrating into a family, positively contributing to the care and development of their children, and at the same time, experiencing a new culture and improving my English in an immersive environment."
3. Why should the family host me? I believe my professional experience as a graduate in Early Childhood Education provides me with in-depth knowledge of the needs of young children and the best practices for their care and education. My experience as a mother of successful adult daughters demonstrates my ability to raise children with dedication, instill values, and foster their all-around development. I am a mature, responsible, and organized person, ensuring a stable and safe environment for your children. My willingness to wake up early and my energy will allow me to actively participate in the family routine. Additionally, my interest in technology can be beneficial in today's world. My intermediate level of English will facilitate initial communication, and I am committed to continuing to improve. In short, I offer a unique combination of professional experience, successful personal parenting experience, maturity, responsibility, and a genuine love for children.
4. Why am I qualified for the position? I qualify for the Au Pair position for several key reasons:
Professional Training: My Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education has provided me with theoretical and practical knowledge about child development, pedagogy, and teaching strategies for young children.
Parenting Experience: The experience of successfully raising my own daughters to adulthood has given me invaluable practical skills in the care, guidance, and emotional support of children.
Passion and Dedication: I have a true passion for working with children and thoroughly enjoy teaching them and watching them grow. My dedication is genuine, and I am committed to providing quality care.
Responsibility and Organization: I am naturally organized and very responsible, which allows me to create stable routines and ensure a safe and structured environment for children.
Maturity and Patience: My age gives me maturity and patience, essential qualities for handling the various situations that may arise when caring for children.
Additional Skills: My driving ability, my intermediate level of English, and my interest in technology are skills that can be very useful to the family. In short, my academic training, my successful personal experience, my passion for children, my responsibility, and my additional skills make me an ideal candidate to provide loving, safe, and nurturing care to your children. My career as a Graduate in Early Childhood Education is complemented by my practical experience gained during my social or internship hours in schools and at the Baptist church to which I belong, where I have had the opportunity to interact and care for children in different contexts. Although I have never formally worked as an Au Pair, my priority was to provide support and guidance to my daughters during their studies, a stage they have now successfully overcome. I would describe myself as a warm, patient person with a great vocation for childcare and education, supported by my training as a Graduate in Early Childhood Education and my successful experience as a mother of three professional adult daughters. My maturity and life experience allow me to approach childcare with a good perspective and responsibility, offering not only attention to theirs basic needs, but also emotional support, guidance, and a nurturing environment for their development.
My approach is based on fostering curiosity, creativity, and learning through play and age-appropriate educational activities. My parenting experience has taught me the importance of routine, open communication, and setting clear, loving boundaries.
