Letter to the family

I'm Bianca, and I live in São Bernardo do Campo, a city in São Paulo, Brazil. I'm a caring, empathetic, and determined person. I completed my degree in Pharmacy-Biochemistry in December 2023. I worked in an oncology hospital in the pharmacy department. During the pandemic, I worked on the frontlines in a field hospital. After that, I started working with children at a primary school, where I could see life becoming more joyful and fun. My family consists of my mom Marcia (45years), my grandmother Lucia (65 years), my aunts: Amanda (30 years), Fernanda (35 years), and Miriam (42 years). I also have cousins are 8, 9, and 14 years, and they’re like siblings to me. We are a close-knit, and fun-loving family. My father Isaac (45 years), and my brothers Ícaro (13 years), and Ítalo(7 years), live in another city. Unfortunately, we don't have much contact. My parents have been separated since I was born. I live with my mother, she works as an Accounting Analyst in a company. I highly value my friendships. My best friends have been with me since I was 6 years. I know how important it’s to follow our dreams even thought we miss the dear people in our lives.

Experience

I was an au pair for a year in the state of Ohio, in the United States. I took care of two children: the youngest was 5 months old, and the boy was 1 year and 2 months old when I arrived. It was a very enriching experience, and I would like to do it again, this time in Europe. I had a very flexible routine with the children, driving them everywhere and taking them to museums, aquariums, for ice cream, to play with friends, and cooking together, among other activities. I have experience with young children and also volunteered for six months in a daycare center while I was still in Brazil.
Since I started working with children, I fell in love with how creative and intelligent they are. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of moments like trying new fruits, witnessing first steps, engaging in playful activities, and envisioning a better future as they grow up healthy, happy, and learning new things. Being with children brings me so much joy and confidence in working with life in a respectful and caring manner. I work in an oncology hospital, alternating every other day, and for someone who works with life in a palliative way, the world becomes colorful through my interactions with children. The au pair program offers me the opportunity to explore new cultures, improve my English, discover new places, all in a light-hearted way. This journey will allow me to provide love and care to the dear people I’ll meet, and I’m certain that I’ll carry memories of this time my life. I’ll do my best job and i wish to find a good match to build good memories together in my year as an au pair.
