Hello dear families looking for au pairs,
I'm Amy, 17 years old (I'll be 18 as of August 8, 2025), and I come from a small town called Schwelm in Germany. This spring, I'm graduating from high school (I'm majoring in English and history) and would like to work as an au pair as soon as I turn 18.
Traveling, getting to know new places and people, and gaining experience have always been very important to me. Thanks to my parents, I've been able to see a lot of the world, and I've found the UK the most interesting.

I would like to live in Edinburgh or London for a longer period of time because I find the cities beautiful and am very interested in history.

I've also done a lot of babysitting and tutoring with different children over the past few years and get along very well with children, which is why being an au pair is the perfect opportunity for me to learn new things. People around me would describe me as open, honest, friendly, and assertive, which is important when working with children.

I'm also currently getting my driver's license so I'll have it when I start my stay. The length of the stay should not exceed 12 months, as I want to study after the gap year, but anything up to 12 months is fine with me.
