My name is Sara, I am 18 years old and currently attending Oberland Gymnasium in Seifhennersdorf, Germany, where I am working towards my Abitur (A-level equivalent). Coming from a large family and having grown up with both older and younger siblings, I am naturally comfortable in dynamic family environments. I am excited to apply for an au pair position with your family.
In May 2024, I completed a meaningful internship at Haus Carola, a child and youth residential center in Germany. During my time there, I supported children in three distinct group settings, including residential care, day-care, and parent-child groups. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of children's needs and gave me valuable insights into everyday childcare, emotional support, and structured play. I found it both fulfilling and inspiring, and it strengthened my desire to continue working with children in a supportive and caring role.
Additionally, I’ve been active as a student representative and committee member in our district's student council. Currently, I also work part-time as a cashier at a local supermarket, which has taught me time management, team-oriented—skills and reliability.
I speak fluent Czech, German, and English, and have lived in several countries including the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, Bulgaria, and Germany. This multicultural background has helped me develop strong communication skills and a natural openness to new cultures—something I would love to bring to your family. I enjoy spending time with children, helping with homework, doing creative activities, and simply being a dependable part of everyday life.
Becoming an au pair would not only allow me to support your family, but also give me the chance to experience new culture, improve my English, and build meaningful relationships across borders.
