Letter to the family

My name is Clara Carbonell, I am 22 years old and I am currently finishing my university studies in Primary Education with a mention in Special Education at the University of Seville. I have always felt a deep vocation for teaching. I love children, and I feel a special sensitivity for those with special educational needs.
During my training I have worked as a trainee teacher in a school in Seville, accumulating more than 400 hours of direct experience in primary classrooms. I have also participated as a volunteer for two summers in children's camps, where I was a monitor with children from both kindergarten and primary school. In addition, I regularly babysit two young children (3 and 6 years old) on weekends, and I tutor a child with special needs in the afternoons.
I decided to take the step to become an Au Pair because I want to continue growing personally and professionally. Last year I had the opportunity to study for six months in Bulgaria thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. This experience allowed me to travel, improve my English and learn to cope in a different cultural environment. I loved it. That's why now I want to continue getting to know the world, live a new experience, improve my English even more and do it through what I like the most: taking care of and educating children.
I think a family should take me in because I am a loving, polite, very responsible and dedicated person. I put a lot of vocation and effort into everything I do. I know that trusting someone you don't know can be difficult, but I can assure you that I am a committed and close person who seeks to integrate into the family as one of the family.
I believe that I am very well prepared for this position. Thanks to my studies and my work and volunteering experience, I have a deep knowledge of child development and pedagogical skills that I apply on a daily basis. In addition, my ability to adapt, my experience living away from home and travelling, and my responsible and caring nature make me an ideal candidate to live this experience and bring the best of myself to the family that receives me.

Experience

No, this would be my first experience as an Au Pair. However, I have an extensive background in childcare and education. I have worked as a trainee teacher for two years in a school in Seville, accumulating more than 400 hours with primary school students. In addition, I have been a volunteer for two summers in children's camps, where I worked as a monitor with both infant and primary school children.
I currently look after two young children (3 and 6 years old) at weekends and I give private lessons to a child with special educational needs. All this is complemented by my university education in Primary Education, with a specialisation in Special Education, which has prepared me on both a theoretical and practical level to accompany and support children of different ages and contexts.
Although I have not yet been an Au Pair, I feel very prepared to take on this challenge. I have real experience, responsibility, vocation, and a great enthusiasm to integrate into a family, learn about a new culture and continue doing what I am most passionate about: caring for and teaching children.
