Marike (20 / Ms. ), German, Student - High School living in Germany looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in France for 1-2 Months

I am Marike, 18 years old, live in Germany and I would like to be your au pair this summer!

I love children and have a lot of experience with them: I have two younger siblings (11 and 16) and was a babysitter for 3 years. Since 2019, I have been running my school's childcare once a week with children between 2 and 11 years old. I also volunteer at a club that organises holiday camps for children between the ages of 9 and 14. And I have done internships in a nursery.

My intention in working with children is to give them a safe place to grow and gain experience to discover the world on their own. I want to be like a friend or sister to them, having fun with them, playing, laughing, reading a book or doing other interesting things together.

But I am also responsible and attentive when I have to set limits. They are needed just as much as a kind word, comfort or understanding.

Besides looking after the children, I love to cook - I often cook for my family and I can also imagine helping with the usual household chores like laundry, tidying up, vacuuming or anything else.

About me:

I am a creative, open-minded, lively, cheerful, honest and empathic person. I like outdoor activities like walking or biking and my other big hobby besides children is music. I play guitar and piano and love to sing but I don’t have to do it if it´s annoying:) In the future I want to work as a nursery teacher.

For years it has been my biggest dream to visit England: I really like the language and would love to improve my skills. This summer I have the time to go there for 3 - 4 months (less months are also possible).
And how could I better combine learning a language, meeting other people and working with children than as an au pair?
