Letter to the family

Dear Hiring Family,
My name is Frankie and I’m 23 years old. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Studies and have worked/volunteered with children across various environments since I was 14 years old. I have worked within the home, in the community and in educational settings and absolutely love the work I do. In September I will be going back to University to study for my primary teaching degree - hence why the time I can work for is so short. I am available for the duration of the summer holidays (June - Start of September). I would love to gain even more experience in the childcare sector this summer whilst enjoying a different culture to my own! I learnt Italian whilst at secondary school, but haven’t had much practice since leaving. I understand basic conversation but would love to be able to chat more fluently!

Experience

I have worked as a nanny/housekeeper previously, looking after 4 girls within their home environment. I was responsible for a range of duties including; school drop offs and pick ups, preparing lunches and dinners, engaging in play and extra curricular activities, helping with homework and academic projects and taking the girls out into the community to give their family respite. I have also worked 1 to 1 with children in their home, supporting them with their educational and social development. I would love the opportunity to experience a different culture and to look after children in their own culture too. I believe it would be a fantastic opportunity.
