Letter to the family

Hello!

My name is Becca and I'm 22 years old. I was born and raised in Canada and currently live there, but would love to broaden my horizons and explore new cultures. I nannied for a family in my last year of high school before leaving to attend university, where I completed three years of a psychology degree. I also have experience with teaching children, as I helped teach dance at my studio for five years and tutored for two years. My native language is English but I'm also fluent in French. I've been working in a retail job for the last year and a half and feel it's time for a change. I love children and travelling so this seems like a perfect opportunity. I have the most experience with children between the ages of five and twelve, but have worked with those outside those ages as well.

I'm passionate about history and art and love exploring new places! I'm open-minded and curious and can't wait to throw myself into a new life experience.

Experience

I was a nanny/companion for a family in my last year of high school. The children were five (female), eight (male), and twelve (female), so I got to experience them at a range of developmental stages. My duties included getting the children ready for school and looking after them for an hour or two when they got home, or spending the day with them on school holidays or sick days. I was also a companion to the family matriarch, as she was bed-bound due to an accident. I got along very well with her and with the children, and really enjoyed the experience of working with them!

I also taught dance to children between the ages of seven and twelve for about five years and tutored in french for two years as a teenager.
