I am looking to build my Au Pair experience, but I do have plenty of tutoring experience through my job as a teacher. Teaching English to students ages 5-12 really helped me learn more about my own language and how to make it understandable to non-native English speakers. Working as a teacher and a babysitter has helped me get more in touch with my creativity, improve my patience, and remind myself of the beauty of being a kid. I would like to become an Au Pair because I believe I have a lot to offer a child in terms of guidance, mentorship, friendship, and supervision. I love sharing my language and culture, but I find it also important to help show children how to be in the world, in ways that deal with empathy, how they treat others, social rules, etc. I believe my kindness and loving nature would be a great fit with any family. After living in Italy for two years, I am ready to expand my cultural knowledge to other cultures, either within or outside of Europe. I love learning new languages and especially cuisines, and this is something that excites me about au pairing.
