Letter to the family

Dear Future Family, I am writing to you because I am looking for a family to be an au pair with for a year. For me, this experience is much more than just an adventure: it’s an opportunity to fully immerse myself in a new culture, become part of a new family, and share unforgettable moments together. I am extremely motivated and ready to fully commit to this experience. I love children and am passionate about their development. I don’t just want to be an au pair, but rather a full-fledged member of the family whom you can rely on. In addition to my patience and enthusiasm, I am a great cook and would be delighted to prepare delicious meals for the whole family. Here are a few ideas of activities I could offer to do with the children: Cooking workshops: preparing traditional dishes and exploring new recipes together. Creative activities: doing art projects like painting, sculpting, or making greeting cards. Cultural outings: visiting museums, exhibitions, or local festivals to discover the culture and history of Miami. Educational games: organizing games that stimulate thinking and skills, like puzzles or board games. Reading sessions: reading books together and creating stories to encourage a love of reading. Outdoor sports and activities: biking, playing in the park, or organizing picnics to enjoy the beautiful weather. Swimming lessons: if the children don’t know how to swim yet, I could teach them the basics of swimming safely. Playing their hobbies or sports: participating in their favorite activities and encouraging their passions. Transportation: I can take them to their activities or school, as I have a driver’s license. I can also teach the children French and help them discover the language in a fun way. I would love to share my culture with you and create memorable moments together. Outside of my passion for children, I love sports and am very active. I also have a deep passion for travel. My dream is to become an airline pilot, and it would be wonderful to discover new places with you. I truly hope you will take me along on your family trips. And to add a touch of humor: don’t worry, I promise not to turn the kitchen into a crêpe-making station every day—unless you ask for it! I come from a very close-knit family where love, kindness, and respect are at the heart of everything we do. I also grew up taking care of my younger siblings and cousins, which helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and understanding of children's needs.
