Hi! My name is Whitney! I recently graduated from university in New York City and enjoyed being able to live there for four years. I love to travel, spend time outdoors, work with children, and learn new things in the process! I have been traveling my entire life and had the privilege of growing up throughout Europe, Asia, The Middle East, and The United States so I am comfortable visiting new places and meeting new people! Last summer I had the best experience of my life and got to spend seven weeks working at an American summer camp and getting to mentor the best group of kids while working as an outdoor adventure staff member AKA I spent my days in the sun zip-lining and rock-climbing for work! I want to be an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor because I feel like it is a great opportunity to meet families from different parts of the world, explore new places, and work on my professional skills while doing something I love! I am trained in CPR/AED, conflict managements, diversity awareness and have help multiple professional jobs as well as hold an honors bachelors degree from a top university in the States. I am so excited to start this journey and meet an amazing host family!

Experience

Although not the same, I worked at a summer camp for three months where I was a live-in counselor and exclusively cared for campers aged 13-16. I was with them 24/7 and learned how to care for and mentor children through this experience. Working at summer camp made me realize I am passionate about helping children learn new skills, overcome their fears and realize their full potential in life. I also have a passion for traveling. I grew up traveling too and living in multiple countries around Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. I would like to become an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor abroad because the opportunity to live in a new place and build bonds with a family and their children is once-in-a-lifetime. I would be able to do what I am passionate about while learning new skills and providing my assistance to a family in need.

About me

I am a recent graduate from a university in New York City who enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, exploring new places and spending time outdoors. I played sports my whole life and really enjoy teaching people how to play these sports or practice their skills. I have worked as a lifeguard and am certified in CPR/AED training, as well as have worked with child-life specialists to gain the skills necessary to successfully care for children. I am very outgoing, spontaneous and fun-loving, but also love a relaxed day where I get to spend time with my family. I am working on learning Spanish and am looking forward to going back to Graduate School in the late fall of 2023. After being an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor I am going to work towards receiving my Masters degree and hopefully beginning my dream career with the United Nations.
