Letter to the family

Hello,
My name is Wojtek I'm working as ICU registered nurse back in my country. Since 2017, I have been working at a camp in New Jersey as a caregiver/camp counselor/specialist. I have taken care of both children and elderly people, including those who are physically and mentally disabled, as well as those without disabilities. Together with the people I cared for, we spent 24 hours a day — playing, learning, and sometimes even sharing a tear. Over the years, I have worked hundreds of days in this role, gaining valuable experience and learning new skills essential for this kind of work.
To be honest, I never really considered it a job — it felt more like a passion, an adventure. It gave me a true sense of fulfillment, the feeling that I was doing something more than just working — I was bringing smiles to the faces of those I looked after.
Since 2023, I have also completed an office internship at the same camp, where I learned about management, organization, and planning of daily tasks, responsibilities, and activities. I had the pleasure of working with amazing people who shared their knowledge with me — and for that, I am truly, deeply grateful.

Experience

Over the years, I have dedicated a significant amount of time to caring for children, teenagers, and elderly individuals. This experience has taught me that caregiving is not just a responsibility, but a deeply fulfilling part of my life. I approach every task with commitment and empathy—no caregiving duty is too small or too challenging for me.
In addition to providing care, I have developed strong cooking and baking skills, which became part of my daily routine and a way to bring comfort and joy to those I support.
As a nurse, I offer more than just medical knowledge. I bring the ability to understand children's individual needs, support their emotional and developmental growth, and create a safe, nurturing, and compassionate environment where every person feels valued and cared for.
