Letter to the family

I am planing to make my move to Europe soon and I couldn't be more excited. Being an Au pair would be a really great opportunity for me to not only do what I love, but also to ease into a new country and culture. Working a minimum of 20 hours is preferred. I can cook, clean, swim instruct, and help tutor in some cases! I am pretty open to different circumstances and not too picky. I have a degree in psychology and have an understanding of child development as well. I love engaging in art activities and trips to museums! I am extremely comfortable with teaching kids to read, do math, and even swim. My goal as an au pair is to find a family that I can become a part of and take on a role as a big sister, like I have been able to do in my job as a nanny.

Experience

I have worked with kids of all ages for the last 6 years. I feel as though there is so much to learn from kids and being able to enrich their lives in any way just makes it that much better. I first started as a baby sitter when I was about 12, then when I was able to work, I worked as a lifeguard for three years and then I decided to become a swim instructor for kids ages 1-12, before eventually becoming a full time nanny and I have fallen in love with it. It has been my dream to move abroad and being an Au pair not only gives me this chance, but it also allows me to continue to work in the field that I enjoy. I am currently working as a nanny for two families, both of which have two boys of various ages (baby, toddlers and elementary age), and I am working with two children who have special needs both physically and cognitively. It has been lovely as well as challenging to care for 4 kids each day, but in the most beneficial and progressive way and I am happy to share more about my experiences with this work!
