Letter to the family

Hi there!
My name is Milly. I was born and raised in South-West Wales by a loving and supportive family. Currently, I am living in Northen Ireland as I am studying Medicine at Queen's Univeristy Belfast! I have just completed my first year and I am loving the course and training to become a doctor really excites me. I'm looking forward to going back to university in September however over the summer I'm hoping to work as an Au Pair to gain some experience and travel, whether its around the UK or beyond.
Since studying medicine I've had a strong interest in specialising in paediatrics. Working as an Au Pair or tutor would be very valuable to me as it's an opportunity to get hands on experience in caring for and working with children in a natural family setting. Not only would this compliment my medical training but it would allow me to learn avout different lifestyles and cultures. Also, medicine can be intense and taking some time to work as an Au Pair or tutor would give me time to reflex and explore life from a dfferent angle without stepping away from meaningful work.
I've always enjoyed looking after children whether its caring for my little cousins or chatting with children on hospital wards. I come from a big family which means I'm used to the lively, and sometime chaotic energy that comes with having kids around. I'd even say I thrive off it. You should host me because I bring a genuine love for children, a calm and caring nature, and a strong sense of responsibility. As a medical student with a deep interest in paediatrics, I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and simulating environmeny for children to grow and thrive.
Furthermore, I would be an excellent live-in tutor bceause I combine strong academic discipline with a patient and approachable teaching style. I'm passionate about making learning engaging and accessible, and I'm skilled at breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.
Through medical school, I have completed training in basic life support and first aid which ensures I can respond quickly and calmly in the case of an emergency. I understand the importance of hygiene, nutrition, and routines for children. I also have an Enhanced Disclousre and Barring (DBS) check which, along with other important documents, I'd be more than happy to share with you.
Thank you for considering me to be your Au Pair or live-in tutor!
