Letter to the family

Hi potential new host family! My name is Kitty, I’m 27, English, and currently living in Geelong, Victoria. I first decided to au pair because I wanted to follow in my mother’s footsteps as she au paired when she was my age! In 2018 I moved to Italy where I au paired for 1 year, working with two girls aged 10 and 14. I also took a side job here tutoring a family of 5 - the children were aged 6, 12 and 15.
I also au paired for four months in The Netherlands where I looked after a boy aged 11 and a girl aged 9.
I hope you will consider me to be a part of your family!
I really enjoy making connections with people and feel I have a lot to offer in either an au pair or homeshare position.

Experience

I have au paired twice previously - once for a year in Italy (2018-2019) and once for 4 months in The Netherlands (2021). I cared for children between the ages of 6 and 14 and both of my experiences were great. I love meeting and talking to new people, and especially love working with children. I also love travelling and experiencing new cultures, and I think au pairing allows me to enjoy both passions. I love to be immersed in new cultures and I truly believe that we can both learn from each other.
I have experience looking after and supporting my Grandma back in England. I often help her with gardening, cooking, shopping etc. I also have previously volunteered as a companion for elderly people who feel isolated.
