Letter to the family
Dear Future Host Family,
My name is Maria Luiza, and I am a 20-year-old Brazilian currently in Belgium (visiting). I am excited to introduce myself as a caring, enthusiastic, and kind individual who would love to join a family as an Au Pair
Who I Am
I am a psychology student, passionate about cultural exchange and personal growth. I was on vacation from my university in Brazil and came to Europe to stay from December to February. I fell in love and now I’d like to stay here. I enjoy reading, learning new languages, meeting new places, crafting, cooking and with the kids I would love to create very creative activities where they can use their imagination a lot and spend more time away from screens. I am committed to creating meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds. I come from a typical Brazilian family, where warmth, closeness, and strong bonds are at the heart of our relationships. We value spending quality time together, supporting one another, and creating joyful moments. Growing up in such a loving environment has taught me the importance of kindness, empathy, and building meaningful connections, values I am excited to bring to your family
Why I Want to Become an Au Pair
I think becoming an Au Pair is about immersing myself in a new culture, building relationships, traveling and gaining valuable life experiences. I love working with children, helping them grow, and learning from their unique perspectives. This opportunity allows me to combine my passion for childcare with my desire to explore a new country and its traditions.
Why You Should Host Me
I believe I would be a great addition to your family because I am responsible, adaptable, and have a genuine love for children. I am committed to creating a positive and safe environment for your children while ensuring their well-being and happiness. I also value open communication and teamwork, which I know are essential for a successful Au Pair experience.
Why I Qualify for the Position
Although I may not have extensive formal experience, I had the opportunity to assist my mother, who was a teacher at a preschool. I worked as her monitor, helping to care for and guide young children in their daily activities. This experience taught me valuable skills such as patience, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with children.
Thank you for considering my application! <3
