Hi there!
My name is Jen, I’m a 21 year old girl from a small, but beautiful town in County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. I’m currently in my 2nd year of studying Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatry in the capital, Dublin.
I have always loved working with people, young and old, hence choosing nursing as a future profession. Becoming an Au Pair/Caregiver is not just something I would thoroughly enjoy, but I believe myself to be a natural working with people of all ages. It would be amazing to experience a new countries dynamic, culture and beauty whilst working.
It would be a pleasure to be taken in by a family, I believe in keeping a clean and cosy living space for everybody in the household to flourish. Integrating and experiencing a new family dynamic would be so interesting and insightful!
I’m a natural people person, I love making new friends and connections! From my own family background, I am the eldest of 2 younger sisters and I have many younger cousins below the age of 10. Through the years I have had a lot of experience with children of all ages within my own family. I am also working towards a degree in nursing and currently working as a healthcare assistant, I have extensive experience with people of all ages, conditions, and cognitions.

Experience

As stated above, I’m studying to be a nurse and with the studies, a lot of placements are needed to be completed. I have worked in many settings ranging from general medicine, psychiatric wards, forensics to geriatrics. I have in-date certificates for BLS/CPR, people handling and other healthcare qualifications that can be provided.
I have a natural flair for kids, I really enjoy working with children of all ages. As well as my family background, I have previous work experience from a play-school/crèche I had completed when I was 16 years old, which I really loved.
From working in loads of different disciplines throughout my degree, I would love to learn and work in a new country. I’m fluent in English and Irish and I know a basic level of German and French (although practice is needed!) I believe I can provide a great help and education becoming an Au Pair, as well as learning loads myself.
