My name is Eduardo, I am 20 years old, a psychology student, and I am from Brazil. I want to become an Au Pair to combine the pleasant with the useful, as I enjoy helping others, which led me to choose psychology (previously social work) as my major, and I have a great affinity with children. As an only child, I didn’t have experience with younger siblings, which created a gap that I believe can be filled with this experience. I get along well with children and teenagers, who usually like me a lot. Moreover, the possibility of traveling and experiencing new cultures is a significant motivation for me.
I believe I qualify for this position because I am empathetic, know my place, handle different types of people and personalities well, have an open mind, and, above all, respect others. I understand that bringing a stranger into contact with the family can be concerning, but I come with the intention of respecting all boundaries and ensuring peace of mind. I have participated in social projects addressing topics like sexism, abuse, and pedophilia, which are issues that deeply disturb me. Therefore, I believe I am a suitable choice, as those who do not care about these topics likely won’t prioritize the safety of children.
Additionally, I really like pets and consider animal welfare extremely important. Therefore, it would be a pleasure for me to take care of your dogs, cats, or other pets.
